Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to manage the plan of care for a caseload, assuming 24‑hour responsibility and liaising with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure high quality patient outcomes within established timeframes.

You will coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff and other health professionals, plan follow-up clinics and schedule tests or surgeries as needed, and help optimize resource use across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• RN license by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• BLS certification from AHA required or obtained within 30 days.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Manage the plan of care for a caseload with 24-hour responsibility.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure quality outcomes.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and other health professionals.
• Schedule follow-up clinics and tests or surgeries as needed.
