Qualifications

• Graduate from a School of Nursing.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Current professional nurse licensure in Minnesota or a permit from the Minnesota Board of Nursing while the license is in process.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Ability to communicate in English for effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to examination room, obtains vitals and histories, documents in EMR.
• Performs telephone assessment of patient condition and determines appropriate treatment under supervision of the provider.
• Administers prescribed medications/vaccines per clinic policies.
• Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment.
• Maintains stocked supplies and sterilizes instruments/exam room.
• Performs room turnover between cases and at end of day.
• Assists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessary.
• Provides patient education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience

• Graduate from a School of Nursing
• 1 year of experience in a clinical setting

• Skills in preparing and maintaining records and reports
