Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• One year perioperative/critical care RN experience OR three years as Surgical Technician.
• BLS Certification (AHA).
• ACLS Certification (AHA) within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
• Assess patient care needs, plan delivery of care and process patients through the ASC.
• Direct other caregivers in providing patient care.
• Assume charge responsibilities, resolve problems and report variances.
• Develop educational materials and provide health education to patients and families.
• Maintain nursing competencies.
• Participate in staff development programs.
• Demonstrate respect for cultural and social differences.
