Job summary

COX HEALTHCARE LTD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive care for residents in a long-term care setting. The role includes supervising direct care staff and overseeing care plans for each resident.

Shifts are 0600-1800 or 1800-0600. New leadership and changes are highlighted as the facility grows, with PTO and medical benefits beginning after 60 days, plus a referral program.

Qualifications

• Requires active nursing license and current state registration.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and evaluating care plans for residents.
• Maintain nursing service objectives and standards of practice.
• Receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders in a timely manner.
• Report changes and events to appropriate parties.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor infection control compliance.
• Investigate and document accidents/incidents.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is responsible for overall care of assigned residents and supervision of direct care staff in the community. 0600-1800 or 1800-0600.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current, valid RN license.
• Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed, both verbal and written documentation.

POSITION DUTIES:

• Help implement and evaluate care plans for individual care of each resident as a RN.
• Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices.
• Receive, transcribe, and implement physician's orders in a timely manner as a RN.
• Reports required condition changes, events to appropriate parties.
• Administers medication/treatments as prescribed.
• Monitors infection control compliance.
• Investigates/documents accidents/incidents.
