UF Health Leesburg Seek a dedicated RN to join our Neuro & Stroke program, focusing on neuro assessments, care planning, and coordination within a growing thrombectomy-capable center.

The role emphasizes high-quality patient care, ongoing education, and collaborative practice in a fast-paced neuro environment. Florida licensure, BLS/ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale training are required or pursued during orientation.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in acute care nursing required.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Charge Nurse and critical care nursing strongly preferred.
• New grads and/or candidates without neurology experience must demonstrate a strong interest in learning neurology nursing and commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical care that is safe, best outcome practice with all Core Measures compliant.
• Documents care provision per departmental standards.
• Demonstrates compliance with HCAHPS behaviors to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Completes assigned work as scheduled in allotted time frame.
• Engages in departmental/hospital committees and PI projects and mentors new team members.
• Attends staff meetings and completes required competencies and education.
• Seeks training and certification in area focus/specialty to advance skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains professional interactions with physicians, peers, patients and families.
