Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process and standards of practice. The RN will perform staff nurse duties and may serve as charge nurse when assigned, maintaining accountability for assigned patients.

The position requires Florida RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as specified by department. New hires must obtain a BSN within three years, with grandfathering for some prior hires per policy.

Qualifications

• Requires Florida nursing license or eligibility by SSN
• BLS through American Heart Association or Red Cross on first day of employment
• ACLS required for specific departments at hire or transfer
• PALS required within six months for certain departments
• Crisis Prevention Institute training within 90 days, then annually for Psych Unit
• Professional certification preferred
