Job summary

Vibra Healthcare is seeking an RN Charge Nurse for the night shift on a full-time basis. The Clinical Supervisor oversees clinical and operational functions during the assigned shift, ensuring quality care and cost-effective hospital operations performed by educated and competent staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating nursing care via the nursing process, supervising nursing staff, and participating in interdisciplinary planning and patient/family education to meet hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• BLS certification from an approved provider is required.
• ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
• Minimum of one (1) year of medical/surgical hospital experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care delivery using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Provide direct care and delegate/supervise all nursing care in line with Nurse Practice Act.
• Coordinate nursing unit activities related to patient care and participate in patient/family education.
• Provide leadership and clinical guidance to nursing staff and ancillary personnel; contribute to interdisciplinary plan of care.

RN Charge Nurse - Full Time - Nights

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the clinical supervision and hospital operations during assigned shift. Assesses, plans, coordinates, and evaluates the clinical and operational functions of the unit to ensure quality, cost effective health care is provided by an educated and competent staff. Serves as a patient advocate and an administrative resource during the shift to ensure care meets hospital and professional standards.

Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating the delivery of nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of the individual patient. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Responsible for coordinating nursing unit activities related to patient care. Participates in patient and family education as needed. Provides leadership and clinical guidance by working with and supporting the nursing staff and other ancillary personnel. Participates in the interdisciplinary review process for patients, incorporating the information into the plan of care and the education plan for the assigned patients.

Required Skills

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from an approved vendor required.
• Current ACLS certification from an approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.
• One (1) year of medical/surgical hospital experience required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Two (2) years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Previous Charge Nurse/Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
