Job summary

Abrazo Arrowhead Campus is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse unit coordinator to oversee a clinic unit and coordinate scheduling for RNs. You will train and mentor staff, ensure regulatory requirements are met, and act as a liaison to pre-hospital providers and hospital administration.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• L&D only: Advanced Fetal Monitoring or must obtain within six months of hire.
• Two years relevant clinical nursing experience.
• Two years Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator for Level II EQ.
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona. CPR. ACLS as applicable by Facility/by Department.
• ACLS required on orientation for ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, L&D.
• PALS or ENPC required or must obtain within ninety days (ER).
• NRP required on orientation completion for Post-partum, Nursery, L&D.
• Bariatrics: Certification or specialized training in bariatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to designated standards and practices.
• Assign, delegate and supervise care provided by RNs, LPNs, and CNAs by matching patient needs with resources.
• Oversee day-to-day staffing, breaks, and scheduling within the department.
• Coordinate orientation and annual competency checklists for new hires and staff.
• Interacts with customers to ensure professional conduct of staff and track service performance.
