Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Contract RN - Charge in the Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Austin, TX. Day shift (6:30 AM–7:00 PM), SAT-MON, no on-call, in a 22-room OR with a strong team of 80 staff; patient ratios are 1:1 for optimal care.

Requirements: RN license, minimum 1 year OR experience; robotics and orthopedic experience; neuro/spine experience for cardiac service line; certification for Surgical Technicians is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the OR under surgeon supervision.

• Ensure scrubs, PPE and sterile technique compliance.

Description:This position is for a Contract RN in the Operating Room/Surgery.The assignment lasts for 13 weeks with a day shift schedule.There is no call required for this position.The unit consists of 22 operating rooms with a strong team of 80 staff members.Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1 for optimal care.The unit employs advanced equipment including robotics and technology for various surgeries.Common procedures performed include appendectomies, cholecystectomies, spine fusions, total joints, craniotomies, mastectomies, and DIEP flaps.Ideal candidates will be flexible, team-oriented, self-directed, and maintain a positive attitude.Scrubs are provided, and closed-toe, heeled non-slip shoes are required.This unit has low turnover and has successfully transitioned contract labor staff to permanent positions.Teamwork and collaboration are highly valued in this environment.
