Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the ICU Float Pool in Burlington, VT. This 16-26 week contract work involves a 12-hour night shift (19:00–07:00) with mandatory weekend coverage and unit float across ICU, ED, and surge areas based on patient needs and skillset.

The role requires at least 2 years in a large teaching facility and travel nursing experience; certifications include AHA BLS/ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale, with CCRN preferred.

Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the ICU Float Pool. This role involves floating within the central pool ICU, primarily based in Medical ICU, and may include overflow neuro, SICU, and other units as necessary. The RN will need to demonstrate flexibility with scheduling and should be prepared to float among units based on skillset and patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Start IVs and manage multiple titrating drips.
• Provide critical vent care and support for patients with multi-system diseases.
• Float to various ICU units, ED Boarders, and potential surge areas as needed.
• Administer CRRT and manage hemodynamic devices.

Required Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a large (500+ bed count) teaching facility is required. Candidates should have prior travel nursing experience.

Certifications / Licensure

• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start.
• CCRN certification preferred.
