Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare in Burlington, VT is seeking a Registered Nurse for CCU travel coverage in a high-acuity ICU float pool. The assignment runs 16 weeks with 12-hour night shifts, and involves floating across multiple critical care units within the central pool.

Requirements include an active Vermont RN license, AHA BLS/ACLS, NIHSS, and EPIC EMR experience. CCRN is preferred. Travel nursing experience and flexibility to float to SICU and Miller units are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2+ years ICU/CCU experience in a large teaching facility preferred.
• Ability to float to SICU, Miller units; flexible scheduling.
• Active RN license for Vermont or eligible to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients across units within the central pool.
• Establish and maintain IV access; manage titrating drips per unit protocols.
• Monitor ventilators and critical care devices; assist with hemodynamic support as trained.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and document in the EHR.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; participate in rounds and coordinate care for post-surgical patients.
