Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Heart & Vascular Center's Cath Lab/IR team. The role is full-time, day shift with 10-hour shifts, and includes on-call duties.

The successful candidate will provide expert nursing care in a high-acuity interventional setting. Requirements include a BSN, PA RN license, BLS and ACLS, with preferred CCU/IR experience.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• PA RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and/or indirect nursing care in the Cath Lab/IR.
• Circulate and assist physicians in interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Prepare and operate ultrasound, intravascular ultrasound, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure safe, timely care.

Schedule: Full-time day shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours/week. On-Call Requirement: 1 day/week and every 5th weekend. Job Title: Registered Nurse ( RN ) Unit: Cath Lab/IR Employment Type: Full-time Shift: 10-hr shifts (7am-5pm) On-Call Requirement: 1 day/week and every 5th weekend. Location: St. Mary Medical Center

Position Purpose

The primary objective of this position is to provide quality of care. Responsible for the direct and/or indirect care of patients assigned utilizing professional nursing skills and knowledge.

Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with supervising physicians, department, and other members of the healthcare team in an effective and comprehensive manner .

Ability to circulate and/or assist physician in performing basic to advanced interventional cardiovascular/radiologic procedures for the adult patient.

Strong background in angiography with an emphasis in cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, cardiac/ peripheral vascular stenting, and interventional radiology procedures for the trauma patient.

Must have strong critical thinking skills, knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy, and work well under pressure during high acuity situations.

Prepares and operates ultrasound, intravascular ultrasound, intra-aortic balloon pump, and Impella equipment.

Position requires primary and back-up cardiac and interventional radiology on-call responsibility to cover emergency lifesaving procedures for the ST Elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and trauma patient populations.

Position Requirements

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• PA RN License
• BLS ACLS
• Prior experience as an RN in both the cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedural areas preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.
