Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital is seeking a part-time RN for per diem, rotating shifts. The RN will deliver direct patient care, perform triage, administer medications and injections, and assist with stress tests and cardiac procedures.

Collaboration with cardiologists and the care team is essential to tailor testing and treatment plans. Strong knowledge of EMR systems (E-MAR), email, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN graduate preferred.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
• BLS certification required; experience with Cardiac Stress Tests preferred.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: At Saint Mary's Hospital, as an RN you’ll deliver direct patient care, including triaging patient calls, administering medications and injections, assisting with stress tests and cardiac procedures, and providing education on lifestyle changes, medication management, and disease prevention.

What you will do

Collaborate closely with our cardiologists and the care team to coordinate testing, follow-up care, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively. Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided. Understanding of computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office. Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN graduate preferred
• Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut
• Certification: BLS (AHA/ARC) RN Experience required; experience with Cardiac Stress Tests preferred
