Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic's St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the EP Lab. Per Diem Tier I shift is day shift (7am-5pm) with no on-call, no late shifts, no weekends or holidays.

BSN, PA RN license, BLS, ACLS and invasive cardiology experience are required. Responsibilities include direct/indirect patient care, education integration, documentation, and collaboration with the interprofessional team.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• PA RN License.
• AHA BLS.
• ACLS.
• Invasive Cardiology experience (EP or Cath Lab) required.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs, readiness to learn and identify barriers, incorporating education into daily care.
• Document admission assessment, reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use; monitor effects and outcomes.
• Utilize information systems to enhance communication and document patient status changes.
• Prioritize work assignments based on changing situations and needs.
• Communicate transfer of responsibility and pertinent information at bedside and during rounds.
• Recognize patient needs and adapt care accordingly; refer for abuse when indicated.
• Include pain management and supportive care in the care plan.
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe, clean environment.

Position Purpose

The primary objective of this position is to provide quality of care. Responsible for the direct and/or indirect care of patients assigned utilizing professional nursing skills and knowledge. As a Registered Nurse, you will:

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and identify actual or potential barriers to learning and thereby incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural and spiritual values.
• Documents admission assessment / reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use and monitors its effects and outcomes according to policy.
• Utilizes the information management system to enhance communication and documents change in-patients condition to all appropriate individuals.
• Prioritizes work assignment based on changing situations.
• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds
• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care and knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral
• Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
• Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care and by promotes and maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
