Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Cath Lab in Washington, DC. The position is 13 weeks, with shifts 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, five shifts per week, no call or weekend shifts.

The role involves caring for adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of about 10 and a 1:1 patient ratio. Skill areas include catheterization, line insertions, dysrhythmia management, sedation monitoring, and ventilator care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
• DC license required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must have prior travel assignment experience

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Assist with central line insertion and IV starts.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; monitor procedural sedation and ventilator support.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients; daily census ~10 with 1:1 patient ratio.

Description:We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab.This position requires 5 shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM based on scheduling needs.No call or weekend shifts are required.You will not work during major holidays such as New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Thanksgiving.The position involves caring for adults and geriatric patients.Daily patient census is approximately 10 with a patient ratio of 1:1.Skills required include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, assisting with central line insertion and management, and starting IVs.You must also have experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, monitoring procedural sedation, and ventilator management.Candidates must have completed at least one previous travel assignment.Knowledge of charting systems is also required.Interdisciplinary support is available through various teams such as IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.Patient diagnoses include CAD, PVD, and various cancers.Ambulatory procedures and interventions are part of the unit's responsibilities.
