Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks a registered nurse for the Cath Lab—Cardiac Cath Lab specialty. This 12-week assignment is day-shift, with 8-hour blocks and call obligations. The unit has five recovery bays and uses GE/Philips equipment with Meditech EMR; LHC, PCI, stenting, and EP studies are among procedures performed.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with at least 2 years Cath Lab experience, BLS/ACLS certifications, and availability to take call monthly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Cath Lab experience required.
• RN License required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Must be able to take call.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cath Lab procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTA, stenting, Impella, IABP, peripheral angiograms, PPM, ICD, EP studies and some IR procedures.
• Maintain patient care in recovery bays and monitor patients pre-/post-procedure.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient workflow across cath lab and recovery areas.

Description:The unit consists of 5 recovery bays.There are 8 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) staff members.The staffing for day shifts includes 5 eight-hour shifts.The patient ratio is 1 per procedural room and 5 in recovery.Equipment used includes GE/Philips and EMR Meditech, MERGE.Typical procedures performed include: LHC, RHC, PCI, PTA, stenting, Impella, IABP, Peripheral Angiograms, PPM, ICD, EP studies, some IR procedures, thrombectomy, laser, and directional atherectomy.The best personality fit for this role is relaxed and laid back.One week of call per month is required.
