The unit performs multiple cardiac procedures; ideal candidate has cath lab experience, ACLS, and device experience (Impella/IABP). You will join a team of 7 techs and 13 RNs in a busy cath lab with a 24/7 on-call schedule.

Description:Shift hours are from 07:00 to 17:30 with on-call responsibilities.The unit consists of 3 cardiac catheterization labs, a holding area for in-patients, and a radial lounge for out-patients.There are a total of 7 tech positions and 13 RN positions in the cath lab, including the manager.The radial lounge has 5 RN positions and 1 LNA position.The radial lounge operates from 6:00 to 18:30 and the cath lab from 7:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with 24-hour call.Equipment in use includes OCT, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, IABP, pacemakers, Rota, CSI, Opsens, Cath Works, and Penumbra.The EMR systems used are Sunrise and Allscripts, with a Mac Lab setup.The patient population is adult.Typical procedures performed include left heart catheterizations, right heart catheterizations, drug studies, TAVR, TMVR, ASD/PFO, stents/angioplasty, atherectomy, mechanical thrombectomy, IABP, Impella, mitral clips, temporary wires, pressure wires, and VSD.The ideal candidate is efficient yet easy-going, with a good sense of humor.Self-scheduling for call is available, typically requiring one day during the week and one weekend per month.Call hours are from 16:30 to 07:30 the following morning.Weekend call spans from 16:30 on Friday to 07:30 on Monday.This position is being filled due to a vacancy.
