Job summary

Cynet Health seeks an experienced RN for our Cath Lab in Bloomington, IL. This 13-week assignment requires an active state RN license, 2+ years of Cath Lab experience, and certifications including BLS and ACLS.

You will work 10-hour days (4 x 10s) with on-call, totaling 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include admitting, prepping, and recovering procedural cases from Cath, IR, and EP; reading telemetry strips and titrating drips; and knowledge of IV medications.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license in state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Experience with peripheral angiography and IR/neuro intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admit, prep, and recover procedural cases from Cath, IR, and EP.
• Read telemetry strips and titrate drips.
• Knowledge of most IV medications and compatibility considerations.

Description:The unit has 6 pre/post beds.The average number of cases per day is 4-6.Common diagnoses and types of patients include STEMI, stroke, drain placement, line placement, all heart catheters, peripheral angiograms, IVC placement, temporary pacemaker insertion, TEE's, cardioversions, and EP studies.There is a charge nurse who takes assignments sometimes.Cath Lab technicians are present.Shifts may require staying late depending on cases.Client scrubs are provided.Department-specific orientation is typically 1 week, involving 4 shifts.The charting system used is EPIC.The position operates in an acute care setting.The trauma level is 2.
