Responsibilities

• Assist with orientation and ensure patient safety during complex cath lab procedures.

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (must be through AHA)

Must-Have: Current cath lab experience, comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management, and cardiac drips

Description:The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Cath Lab.The unit consists of multiple suites serving various specialties.There are primarily 5 suites designated for different types of cases.The RN will be responsible for conducting conscious sedation.Candidates must be comfortable managing airway procedures and administering cardiac drips.The position requires no scrubbing duties.Nurses will have tech support during procedures.Travelers will not be cross-trained but must possess relevant experience.Basic EKG interpretation tests will be assigned during the orientation period.Nurses handle a variety of cases including Cardiac/Coronary, Vascular, Peripheral, and Neuro interventions.There is no requirement for weekend staffing, but on-call rotations exist for inpatient urgent and emergent cases.Calls typically run from Friday evening through Monday morning.Nurses are expected to adapt to variable start times between early morning hours.Additional information will be provided upon hiring.
