Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher.
• BSN/MSN or DNP recommended; new graduate must enroll in BSN within 1 year of licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience; cath lab/critical care preferred.
• MI RN license required at hire; ACLS/BLS certifications required; ACLS 180 days.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS; Specialty certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the cath lab under ANA scope.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team across Pre/Intra/Post Lab.
• Adhere to Beaumont policies and procedures and ensure patient-family centered care.

Scope of Work

The Cath Lab Nurse, under the ANA scope of practice, utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Cath Lab Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Beaumont policies and procedures. Working within a multidisplinary team environment demonstrates specialized care within the cath lab and across the cath lab care continuum (Pre/Intra/Post Lab) while using critical thinking and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Required Associate’s Degree Graduate of accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Required Bachelor’s Degree B.S.N., or M.S.N., or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years required. This is effective April 18, 2023.
• 1 year of relevant experience Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience. Required
• Critical Care, Cath Lab, or Procedural/OR experience. Preferred
• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• CRT-Specialty Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown in specialty 2 Yrs required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required
