Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for hospice patients in Georgia. You will develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient well-being, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure compassionate end-of-life care.

The role requires a Georgia RN license and CPR certification, with a focus on delivering high-quality care, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting families through the hospice

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia required.
• 1 year hospice experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assumes full nursing responsibility for the Plan of Care for each hospice patient.
• Continuously assesses performance and quality of care; makes adjustments to improve outcomes.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

Assumes full nursing responsibility for the delivery of the Plan of Care for each hospice patient. Continuously evaluates personal and professional performance and makes necessary changes to increase productivity and quality of care delivered. Adheres to and supports the policies/procedures/goals/objectives of hospice to assure quality patient care. Strives for independence and sound critical decision-making regarding the delivery of patient care in a cost-effective manner without compromising quality. Develops the patient's Plan of care in collaboration with other professionals and implements treatment strategies based on scientific nursing theory that promotes physical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Familiar with the concepts and needs of patients / families who are facing death and dying. Effective communication skills, both verbally and written.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required

Work Experience

• 1 year of Clinical Experience Required
• 1 year of Hospice experience Rquired

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation. Upon Hire Required
