Job summary

The Valley Health System in Southern Nevada is seeking a registered nurse to lead discharge planning and utilization management. You will collaborate with patients, families and the care team to ensure safe, efficient transitions and maximize reimbursement.

Applicants must hold a Nevada RN license and have at least three years of varied clinical experience, with two years in Utilization Review, Utilization Management, or Case Management preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum three years experience in varied clinical settings; two years in Utilization Review/Utilization Management or Case Management preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nevada.
• Knowledge of social and physical factors affecting discharge and knowledge of community resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide proficient timely utilization management to maximize reimbursement for patient visits.
