Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead Utilization Review and Case Management, ensuring safe discharge planning and timely care coordination. This role supports a large Southern Nevada health network and involves collaboration with clinicians, patients and families.

Qualified candidates have at least three years of varied clinical experience and knowledge of post-discharge resources. Strong computer skills and a nursing license in Nevada are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years experience in varied clinical settings.
• Two years experience in Utilization Review, Utilization Management or Case Management preferred.
• Knowledge of social and physical factors that affect functional status at discharge, and knowledge of community resources to meet post discharge needs.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and data management software.

Responsibilities

• Establish safe, individualized discharge planning to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide proficient timely utilization management services to maximize reimbursement for patient visits.
• Collaborate with patient, family and healthcare team to achieve quality healthcare outcomes.
