Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a registered nurse with a strong background in utilization review to support discharge planning and manage utilization services for patient visits.

The role emphasizes collaboration with patients, families and the care team to optimize outcomes. Qualified candidates will have a Nevada RN license and at least three years of varied clinical experience, with preference for utilization management familiarity.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: A minimum three years in varied clinical settings. Two years in Utilization Review/Management or Case Management preferred.
• Technical Skills: Computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, and data management software.
• License/Certification: Valid NV RN license.
• Other: Must be able to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.

Responsibilities

• Discharge planning and performing utilization management to optimize reimbursement for patient visits.
• Collaborate with patient, family and healthcare team to achieve quality healthcare outcomes.
