Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse Case Manager to support physicians and the interdisciplinary team in coordinating patient care and improving outcomes. You will manage a caseload and help optimize length of stay while communicating with payers and families.

The role requires an ASN and Alabama RN licensure, with BSN preferred, and at least three years of acute care experience. Strong communication, organization, and independent judgment are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of A.S.N. from an accredited college or university.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Current Alabama RN Licensure.
• Three years acute care experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with physicians, patients, families, and payers.

Responsibilities

• Support the physician and interdisciplinary team to facilitate patient care and outcomes.
• Coordinate Utilization management, care coordination and discharge planning.
• Manage a designated patient caseload to meet patient needs and promote efficient use of resources.
