Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse in state of practice.
• Discharge planning or utilization review experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CMS guidelines and hospital policies.
• Strong communication with patients, families and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-admission, admission and continued stay reviews per CMS and payer guidelines.
• Leads discharge planning and coordinates with ED physicians, hospitalists and care teams.
• Maintains knowledge of participation requirements and licensure standards.
• Communicates with patient and caregiver teams and supports utilization review objectives.
