Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an RN Case Manager in Los Alamitos, CA. The role coordinates patient care across the continuum, including assessments, discharge planning and utilization review, while partnering with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN, CA RN license, and 5 years of clinical experience with 1 year in case management. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with a daytime shift; Epic experience is preferred.

RN Case Manager

StartDate: 10/26/2026 Pay Rate: $1800.00 - $2500.00

POSITION SUMMARY – RN Case Manager

POSITION DUTIES

– Coordinates patient care across the continuum by performing comprehensive assessments, discharge planning, utilization review, and care coordination, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, advocating for patient-centered outcomes, ensuring appropriate resource utilization, facilitating safe transitions of care, and supporting accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Required Qualifications –

• BSN
• CA RN license
• (5) years of clinical experience and one (1) year of previous Case Management experience
• Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Complete understanding of acuity levels for specific patient population
• Demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to facilitate and lead interdisciplinary rounds
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Computer literacy and proficiency

Preferred Qualifications –

• Knowledge of University policies and procedures
• Knowledge of California Children's Services benefits authorization process (CCS)
• Familiarity of Joint Commission, CMS, CDPH
• Bilingual skills
• CCM or ACM
• Case Management credentialing
