Job summary

Registered Nurse - Acute Care

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a day shift schedule of 5x8 hours, from 08:00 to 16:30, including 4 weekend shifts during the contract period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an acute care setting, primarily serving adults and geriatrics. The role demands a compassionate approach to patient treatment and a commitment to maintaining the highest healthcare standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Manage patient cases, including assessments, care planning, and discharge planning.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, pharmacy, and respiratory services.
• Utilize the Epic documentation system for accurate patient record-keeping.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Current RN license in Michigan is mandatory; Ohio license may be pending.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting is essential.
