Deer Meadows Nursing Home in Abingdon, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse Cart Nurse to deliver high-quality care to residents. You will administer medications, monitor conditions, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.

The RN must hold an active Virginia RN license, graduate from an accredited program, and be able to supervise CNAs in a fast-paced, resident-centered environment, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Virginia.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The RN Cart Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents, administering medications and treatments, coordinating care plans, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role plays a vital part in promoting resident health, comfort, and well-being.

Essential Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and safely.

• Assess residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.

• Monitor and document resident conditions and report changes to physicians and interdisciplinary team members.

• Coordinate and implement individualized care plans.

• Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other nursing staff as needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
