Job summary

This role requires an RN license in the state of practice, 1 year RN experience (or 2 years as an LPN in acute care), and BLS certification. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Required RN license in state of practice.
• 1 year of relevant RN experience or 2 years as an LPN in acute care setting.
• BLS certification.
• Registered nurse diploma required.
• Preferred 2 years of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the operating room is clean, sterilized, and gathers supplies needed to complete an operation safely.
• Alleviates patient concerns before surgery.
• Organizes, plans, supervises, and provides coordinated patient care within the unit.
• Supervises, develops, and evaluates assigned departmental staff nurses and technicians.
• Promotes adoption of nursing protocols and clinical practice guidelines.
• Manages conflict on shifts and collaborates with supervisors.
• Collaborates with patient quality, safety, and experience leadership.
• Supports daily clinical operations on the unit by ensuring scheduling, staffing, and supplies.
• Adapts behavior to patient population and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
