Responsibilities

• Oversee utilization management to secure appropriate authorization and payment.
• Perform admission review using InterQual criteria within 24 hours of admission.
• Coordinate with physicians to support medical necessity and optimal level of care.
• Lead discharge planning to ensure smooth transition and post-hospital care.
• Facilitate care progression and communication among care teams and families.
• Escalate barriers to progression and coordinate with social work as needed.
