Job summary

Providence is seeking a registered nurse to manage selected patients through admission, ensuring appropriate utilization of clinical and financial resources within a hospital setting.

The role requires an active California RN license, 2 years of acute nursing experience (case management preferred), and the ability to collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient outcomes and minimize liability and costs.

Qualifications

• California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• 2 years of Acute nursing experience, with evidence of progressive clinical experience preferred, Or
• Case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage selected patients throughout admission to ensure resource availability.
• Communicate daily with medical staff to ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Monitor medical records for variances and intervene to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with management and medical staff to minimize liability and financial risk.
• Provide concurrent retrospective utilization review for reimbursement.
