Job summary

Medasource is seeking experienced ICU RNs for the Cardiovascular ICU at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. The unit handles open heart procedures and complex cardiac care.

Candidates with CVICU experience and night-shift charge nurse skills are preferred; telemetry, pressors, pacemakers, and frequent vital sign assessment are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse with ACLS/BLS certification.
• CVICU or cardiac ICU experience preferred.
• Night shift charge nurse experience desired.
• Proficient with telemetry, pressors and inotropes.
• Frequent site and vital sign assessments required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in CVICU with 2:1 nurse-patient ratio.
• Monitor hemodynamics, meds, pacemakers and chest tubes.
• Collaborate with care teams and communicate with families.
• Adhere to unit policies and maintain dress code.

• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Total Care Support
• Type of equipment : Alaris IV Pump, GE Bedside Monitors, IABP, Impella
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 3 shifts/wk, 3 weekend shifts/4 week schedule
• On Call Requirements:
• Floating policy: Medical ICU and Floor Units
• Patient Experience requirements:
