Mercy Springfield seeks nurses to join its Nurse Residency Program, a year-long pathway tailored to the specialty area. You will provide compassionate patient care using the nursing process, uphold patient rights, and collaborate with other departments to coordinate care.

New grads and select experienced nurses may receive sign-on bonuses, relocation assistance, and education support, with day-one benefits and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Licensure: Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Physical requirements: capable of lifting 50 pounds and standing/walking for shifts.

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Nurse Residency Available: Mercy Springfield offers a year-long Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area in which each nurse is hired. All graduate nurses participate in the program, along with select experienced nurses based on their individual experience and professional development needs.

3E Cardiovascular ICU

3E is the Cardiovascular and Surgical ICU. We care for all cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and head/neck surgery patients requiring ICU admission.

• CABG and Valve Repair/Replacement
• Vascular Stent and Bypasses
• Cardiogenic Shock
• STEMI/NSTEMI
• Radical Neck Dissection
• General Surgery

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Certifications

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
