Mercy seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the 3E Cardiovascular ICU. You will care for cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and head/neck surgery patients requiring ICU admission, providing monitoring and specialized post-operative support.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• RN licensure in hiring state / compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Physical stamina: lift up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing/walking.

Responsabilidades

• Care for Cardiovascular ICU patients (3E) including post-op monitoring.
• Support CABG/valve procedures, vascular cases, and general surgery needs.
• Collaborate with ICU team to implement care plans and safety protocols.

3E Cardiovascular ICU:

3E is the Cardiovascular and Surgical ICU. We care for all cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and head/neck surgery patients requiring ICU admission. Some common patients we care for are:

• CABG and Valve Repair/Replacement
• Vascular Stent and Bypasses
• Cardiogenic Shock
• STEMI/NSTEMI
• Radical Neck Dissection
• General Surgery

Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical requirements/demands:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
