Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team that ensures patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, safe care. They practice in a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, guided by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based research. All RN Clinical Nurses must be licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the standards outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. They are expected to advocate for patients, adhere to policies, and support service excellence.

• Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and individualized care, coordinating with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Partner with patients and families through effective communication methods, including bedside reports, rounds, and education, focusing on patient goals.

Minimum Education
