Full-time Days

It's Time to Get Better at Piedmont! Join us at Piedmont Henry as we continue to grow! We are a 32-bed Cardiac/Pulmonary Unit with Hospitalists / APPs 24/7. Our staff includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care Technicians. The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:4 or 1:5.

Unit Details
  • 4 South Cardiac Telemetry, 32 Beds
  • Arrhythmia Management including Cardioversion, Pharmacologic Management, Tikosyn Loading
  • Management of titratable Cardiac drips (e.g., Amiodarone, Milrinone, Cardizem, Bumex, Heparin, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Lasix, Nitroglycerine)
  • Management of Bipap and telemetry monitoring
  • Management of high-flow oxygen and post intra-cardiac defibrillator/pacemaker placement
  • Post-cardiac catheterization care including TR Band Management
  • DKA management with Glucommander and titratable Insulin drip
Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients across the lifespan, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The nurse functions within organizational policies and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. Responsibilities include maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities to ensure quality nursing care.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: Graduate of a nursing program
  • Experience: New graduates eligible; one year hospital experience preferred for PRN positions
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC multistate license; BLS certification required
  • Additional: Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced certification in specialty preferred if applicable
