NorthShore University HealthSystem in Highland Park is seeking a Registered Nurse for Cardiac Imaging to join our full-time team. The role includes stress testing, care planning, patient assessment, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The ideal candidate has a Nursing Bachelor's Degree (preferred), BLS/ACLS certification, and experience in Cardiac Imaging. Strong critical thinking and stress testing experience are valued.

Responsabilités

• Perform stress testing
• Develop a plan of care and evaluate patient progress
• Provide patient assessment and health data collection and documentation
• Communicate plan of care to patient/family and interdisciplinary team
• Individualize patient/family teaching and assess learning needs
• Nurture compassionate environment and support clinical education
• Assist technical staff with contrast injections, venipuncture, and IV management
• Participate in performance improvement and research activities
• Comply with HIPAA and assist in patient transport as needed

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse, Cardiac Imaging
• Location: Highland Park, Rapid Consulting Center
• Full Time
• Hours: 7:00-3:30, 7:30-4:00 or 8:00-4:30 (depending on site)
• Required Travel: yes, must rotate sites in Highland Park, Gurnee and Glenview
• On Call: One Saturday a month, 8 - 12 pm

What you will do:

• Perform stress testing
• Develops a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes. Evaluates patient's progress toward attainment of outcomes, systematically revises diagnosis, interventions and expected outcomes as needed.
• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers. .
• Communicates plan of care to patient and family regularly respecting the patient's wishes through acknowledgment of patient/family perceptions of health and illness and mutual goal setting for optimal outcomes. Communicates patient data to physician and interdisciplinary team as indicated to achieve patient care needs. Documents patient health data, interventions and communications.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs. Assesses patient's cultural background, learning style, learning barriers, and modifies teaching plan accordingly. Provides teaching on disease management strategies, emergency care and drug information when appropriate. Identifies community resources to support patient self-management of disease.
• Interacts with and contributes to professional development of peers, students and other health care providers as colleagues.
• Shares knowledge, provides feedback and contributes to an environment supportive of clinical education. Assigns or delegates tasks as needed.
• Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support
• Provide assistance to technical staff with injection of contrast, venipuncture, and administration of drugs, 02 therapy, and IV management.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and nursing research. Keeps abreast of research and practice trends in wound/ostomy/skin care through participation in professional networking, ongoing education, and self-directed learning activities. Supports staff in using research and providing evidence-based care
• Complies with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in the transporting of acutely ill patients as needed.

What you will need:

• Education: Nursing Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Certification: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Cardiac Imaging
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Solid Critical thinking skills, Prior Stress testing experience preferred
