Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking an RN in Cardiac Imaging at Elmhurst Hospital. The role is 32 hours per week with a day shift and rotating schedule, Tuesday–Saturday 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., including on-call and weekend coverage.

You will perform stress testing and assessments, and collaborate with the care team to plan and document patient care. The ideal candidate has a Nursing Bachelor's Degree preferred, BLS and ACLS certifications, and prior Cardiac Imaging or stress testing experience.

Qualifications

• Nursing bachelor's degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Cardiac imaging or stress testing experience preferred.
• Solid critical thinking and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress testing.
• Conduct patient assessment and collect health data involving the patient, family and other healthcare providers.
• Develop and communicate an individualized plan of care, evaluate patient progress and document patient health data, interventions and communications.
• Provide assistance to technical staff with injection of contrast, venipuncture, administration of medications, oxygen therapy and IV management.
• Provide individualized patient and family education based on assessed learning needs.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and nursing research and remain current on research and practice trends in cardiac diagnostic testing through professional networking, ongoing education and self-directed learning.
• Support staff in using research and providing evidence-based care and contribute to the professional development and clinical education of peers, students and other healthcare providers.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations and assist in transporting acutely ill patients as needed.
