Job summary

Medical City Fort Worth is seeking an RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab to provide holistic patient care under the director's supervision. The role requires detailed assessments, care planning, and supervision of nursing staff in a fast-paced electrophysiology setting.

Qualifications include Texas RN license (or compact state), BCLS and ACLS, BSN preferred or in progress, and 2+ years in acute care with ICU/CCU experience. Comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Ability to read EKG monitors
• Current RN license by the State of Texas or from a compact state
• Current BCLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• BSN degree or enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of hire
• 2+ years of experience in an acute care setting
• 1-2 years ICU/CCU critical care experience
• Ability to read arrhythmias

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
• Provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient/family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
• Supervise invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures as to adherence to aseptic and sterile technique.
