Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center is seeking an RN to join the Cardiac Catheter Lab team. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care, use clinical judgment, and coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure a safe, effective plan of care.

The role requires RN licensure, an Associate or Bachelor degree, and ACLS/BCLS certifications or instructor qualifications within set timeframes. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice in the state.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in nursing.
• BCLS and ACLS certification or instructor qualification required within specified timeframes.
• Minimum experience in nursing; specialized cardiac care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the cardiac cath lab.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care with clinical judgment.
• Document accurately and protect patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient plans.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• · As a member of our team, you will be accountable for essential clinical knowledge that will positively affect patient outcomes within the scope of nursing practice while assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating care.
• · You will display your strong and accurate clinical judgment and expert-nursing skills while following company polices including those related to confidentiality (written, verbal, electronic and digital).
• · In collaboration with your healthcare team, you will report critical information or change in condition of patients.
• · You will provide comfort and prevent suffering through presence and attentiveness that would include pain assessment and reassessment.
• · As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will document effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
• · In order to provide a great patient experience, you will collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care for an effective and current plan of care.

What qualifications you will need:

• RN Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• 2 years experience Required Years of Experience
