Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. You’ll assist physicians in complex cardiac and vascular procedures and deliver high-quality care with state-of-the-art equipment.

Requires Allied health professional with at least three years in a cath lab, BLS and ACLS within 180 days. Full-time day shift with on-call. Relocation bonus up to $10,000.

• BLS and ACLS certification required within 180 days.
• Full-time, day shift with 30-minute on-call response.
• Allied health professional or Cardiovascular Specialist I.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
• Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
• Operate and maintain cath lab equipment.
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

In this role, you’ll stand alongside physicians and colleagues to deliver advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures. Your responsibilities will include

Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements

Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures

Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment

Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care

Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What qualifications you will need

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Allied health care professional, or Cardiac Cath Lab Cardiovascular Specialist I, with a minimum of three years’ experience in a cath lab setting.

EDUCATION:

Required:

(BLS) Basic Life Support from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) and ACLS-required within 180 days of employment.

Hours: Full time, day shift weekdays only. Call is required (30 minute response time)
