Job summary

Essentia Health’s St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN is seeking an experienced RN for its Level 17 Cardiac Unit to care for post-op heart surgery, telemetry, pacemaker, ablations, and heart failure patients.

You will coordinate care across assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, and serve as a team leader for nursing staff. This role reinforces regulatory compliance and community-focused care.

Qualifications

• Lead a team and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on licensure and job descriptions.
• Meet Joint Commission and other regulatory/accrediting requirements.

Our Mission: We are called to make a healthy difference in people’s lives.Come be a part of our accomplished team in Duluth, Minnesota, on the beautiful shores of Lake Superior!We are currently hiring an RN for our Level 17 Cardiac Unit at St Mary's Medical Center!Types of patients and conditions you will see: post op heart surgery, telemetry monitoring, pacemaker, ablations, vasculature patients, A-fib stabilization, arrythmias, syncope, and chronic heart failure.

Education Qualifications:

• You will be in charge of organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• You will get to be a team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
• You will be part of something bigger as you will contribute to meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serve the community in which you live.
• You will meet the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

This position will work the following:

• 0.8 FTE
• 8 Hour Shifts
• Day/Night Rotation
• Every other weekend

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
• ACLS required within the first year

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to:

ADN: $7,500

BSN: $10,000
