CHKD Health System in Coastal Virginia is seeking a dedicated Critical Care Resource Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join our pediatric units in Norfolk. You will work across multiple critical care environments, matching assignments to your clinical strengths and providing top-level care with unmatched growth opportunities.

The role requires Virginia RN licensure or compact state license, CPR, and PALS/NRP within 45 days. ADN/Diploma is required, BSN preferred, with pediatric experience valued.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Compact State RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• PALS and/or NRP certification required or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
• RN specialty certification preferred.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care to pediatric patients.
• Planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care per policies and standards.
• Monitoring patient conditions and responding to changes in clinical status.
• Communicating with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team.
• Supporting unit operations and staffing flexibility.

Responsibilities Include

• Providing developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care to pediatric patients.
• Planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Monitoring patient conditions and responding appropriately to changes in clinical status.
• Communicating and collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, and all members of the healthcare team.
• Supporting unit operations and maintaining flexibility to meet staffing needs.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support patient care and hospital operations.

QUALIFICATIONS - Looking for at least 1 year of RN experience.

License And Certification Requirements
