Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing Education.
• Minimum five years RN clinical experience verified with the Board of Nursing.
• Current unrestricted RN license to practice in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide theoretical and/or clinical instruction reflecting the nursing program's philosophy, objectives, and curriculum.
• Facilitate student achievement of course objectives/outcomes through varied teaching methods.
• Evaluate student achievement of course objectives/outcomes.
• Serve as a nursing resource for healthcare and local agencies.
• Utilize feedback from student/faculty evaluations for instructional improvement.
• Serve as a role model for students in professional, social, and civic areas.
• Utilize evidence-based research in teaching and nursing practice.
• Perform other duties supporting the mission of WSSU and the DON.
• Deliver didactic, online, or hybrid instruction using evidence-based teaching strategies.
• Develop and deliver lesson plans.
• Conduct online discussions and interactive learning.
