Job summary

Illinois Nursing Academy in Midlothian, IL is seeking a BNATP Instructor to deliver comprehensive training to aspiring CNAs. You will teach theory and clinical components, prepare lesson plans, and ensure students are prepared for the state certification exam.

The role requires an RN license, at least 2 years CNA experience, and a Train the Trainer course. Evening/weekend availability may be needed; prior teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CNA or in a related nursing role.
• Train the Trainer Course Completion.
• Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state regulations and the program's curriculum.
• Deliver engaging and informative lectures on various topics related to nursing and patient care.
• Provide hands-on training in clinical skills such as patient hygiene, vital signs monitoring, mobility assistance, and other essential CNA duties.
• Assess students’ performance through quizzes, exams, practical demonstrations, and assignments.
• Offer constructive feedback and support to help students improve and succeed.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and progress.
• Ensure that training equipment and supplies are properly maintained and available for use.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in nursing education and healthcare practices.
• Assist in the development and revision of the CNA program curriculum as needed.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to CNA training and certification.
