Job summary

Cross Creek Hospital in Austin, TX, part of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift in a 90-bed inpatient psychiatric unit. You will assess, plan, and coordinate care for adults, geriatric and SUD patients, while educating families and ensuring documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatry/behavioral/SUD experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Transcribe physicians’ orders accurately and ensure status is documented.
• Monitor patient status and communicate significant changes to the team.
• Respect boundaries and maintain therapeutic rapport with patients.
