Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Weight Control Center in Canton, MI. The RN will support Bariatric and General Surgery alongside the surgical team and multidisciplinary staff in an ambulatory clinic setting.

Day shift, no weekends. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care within established policies under Nursing and Operational Leadership.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years MI.
• Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• 1 year of RN experience.
• ICU RN experience preferred.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months.
• Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years.

• The clinical nurse uses the nursing process to provide professional care.

About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. This position is a clinic position within the Weight Control Center in Canton. The RN will work to support Bariatric & General Surgery, working along side both the surgical team and multidisciplinary team at the Weight Control Center. Day shift, no weekends.

Scope of Work

The clinical nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nursing and Operational Leadership according to policies and procedures within an ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing Required
• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years MI
• Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• 1 year of RN experience
