Job summary

Linn Community Nursing Home in Kansas seeks a caring Registered Nurse for day shifts to provide home-style skilled nursing services. You will assess patients, administer medications, and coordinate with therapists and physicians to ensure comprehensive care.

Minimum KS RN license is required; compact license accepted. 1+ year experience in in-home or skill setting is preferred but not mandatory. Training and professional development are available, with full- and part-time roles offered.

Qualifications

• State registered nurse license required (KS); compact license accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ condition during visits and chart observations.
• Perform vital signs and medication reviews.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physician.
• Dress or redress wounds and monitor healing.
• Educate patients and families.
• Coordinate care with therapists and physicians.
• Provide palliative care to keep patients comfortable.
• Suggest devices or tools to improve quality of life.
• Listen and respond to patient concerns.

We are looking for candidates available to work day shift.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ condition during every visit and chart your observations
• Perform evaluation tasks, including vital signs and medication review
• Administer medication as prescribed by the patient’s Physician
• Dress or redress open wounds and assess the progress of healing
• Educate patients and their families.
• Coordinate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Physicians and anyone else involved in the patient’s care plan
• Provide palliative care as needed to keep the patient comfortable
• Make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient’s quality of life
• Listen to the patient and respond to concerns or requests

Qualifications

• State registered nurse license required - KS State required, Compact License accepted as well
• 1+ years’ experience in in-home or skill setting preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor
