Job summary

Linn Community Nursing Home in Linn, KS is seeking compassionate nurses for night shift positions. You will assess patient conditions, monitor vitals, administer medications, and collaborate with a care team to support residents in a community-based skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• State registered nurse license required - KS State license or Compact accepted.
• 1+ years’ experience in in-home or skilled setting preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ condition during visits and chart observations.
• Perform evaluation tasks, including vital signs and medication review.
• Administer medication as prescribed by the physician.
• Dress or redress wounds and monitor healing progress.
• Educate patients and their families.
• Coordinate care with therapists and physicians.
• Provide palliative care to keep patients comfortable.
• Recommend devices or tools to improve quality of life.
• Listen and respond to patient concerns or requests.

We are looking for candidates available to work night shift.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ condition during every visit and chart your observations
• Perform evaluation tasks, including vital signs and medication review
• Administer medication as prescribed by the patient’s Physician
• Dress or redress open wounds and assess the progress of healing
• Educate patients and their families.
• Coordinate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Physicians and anyone else involved in the patient’s care plan
• Provide palliative care as needed to keep the patient comfortable
• Make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient’s quality of life
• Listen to the patient and respond to concerns or requests

Qualifications
